The non-profit People & Carnivores hired Conservation Media to help tell the story of its quiet predator co-existence work in the backcountry of Wyoming, Idaho, and Montana. Among the many conflict resolutions P&C work toward is the installation of backcountry bear poles at traditional hunting encampments. These poles provide backcountry users (hunters and backpackers too!) a place to hang bear attractants, including heavy meat, out of the reach of grizzly and black bears, thus reducing potentially fatal conflict.
